Business and office removals
A business move needs a working plan.
Office movers need to understand more than the number of desks. Access, furniture, files, equipment, packing, labelling and the time available all shape the removal plan.

What we need to know
Furniture and equipment
List desks, chairs, cabinets, shelving, boxed files, kitchen contents and equipment, including anything unusually heavy or fragile.
Access and parking
Confirm floor levels, lifts, loading restrictions, door widths and the carrying distance at both addresses.
Timing
Tell us when access is available and whether the move must be coordinated around staff, customers or other contractors.
Prepare an inventory by area
Divide the inventory into offices, meeting rooms, reception, storage areas, kitchens and any workshop or stock space. This makes it easier to identify what is moving and where it should be placed at the new premises.
- Number or name each destination room
- Label furniture and boxes consistently
- Identify items being disposed of or retained
- Separate confidential material from general contents
- Confirm who will disconnect and reconnect equipment
Packing and dismantling
We can discuss packing support, moving boxes and materials as part of the estimate. Desks, tables, shelving or other furniture that may need dismantling should be identified in advance.
Computer systems, specialist machinery and sensitive equipment may require preparation by the customer or an appropriate specialist. Responsibilities should be agreed before moving day.
Keeping disruption under control
A realistic sequence is more useful than an over-optimistic one. Decide which areas must be operational first, keep essential items clearly identified and make one person responsible for decisions at each address.
Business removals vary considerably, so we prepare an estimate from the actual contents, access and timetable rather than relying on a standard office price.
